Here is the first poem. The acrostic. The acrostic poem is a word in a horizontal form and has a word attached to it. Each word starts with the letter that it is with. I based this poem on my main liking, which is football, and wrote why it is my favorite sport and why it means so much to me.

 

It is fun and competitive, because we all know it is really a logical and strategic game which also applies toughness and determination. You really have to know when to go where and how to get the other team off guard. While being logical and smart while playing, you are also having fun playing the very competitive sport.

 

It is the most outstanding game ever, obviously, because it is fun and competitive. You are always optimistic about winning and you never give up. This is the point of the game, you never give up and you always keep your head up no matter what. 

 

In my opinion, this is the most thrilling sport ever. Yes yes, basketball has it's buzzer beaters, but what about winning field goals, winning pick 6s, etc. These little seconds of the game makes football the BEST SPORT EVER.

 

This is AMERICA's GAME, period. More than a MILLION people love football everywhere around the nation. From a football fan's perspective, it doesn't matter if my city has a football team, I will just root for my home team or the team closest to my city. If you like football, you can call yourself a real American.

 

Finally, football needs leadership and loyalty. You need to show a leadership personality, not a bossy attitude. To be a leader, you need to show that you deserve the ball every time. You deserve the first spot. You deserve the best position ever. 

Football needs loyalty. To show loyalty and determination in football, you have to train countless hours and study the playbook like your school book or the bible. You have to give the most amount of time to make it to the professional level or frankly any level. You can call it the football mindset.
