The Chef Steph Curry Free Verse
Here is the fourth poem. The lovely Free Verse. A free verse poem is a poem with no rhythm or rhyme. Although, you want to put a lot of imagery and figurative language. The only limit of making a free verse is you imagination.
This poem is about my basketball idol, "The Chef" Steph Curry. He drew my attention with his last name (Curry), because I am an Indian. And he also drew my attention with his nasty arch when he shoots 3-pointers.
I used imagery in my poem by comparing basketball and cooking. For instance, "he 'beet' Cook Harden," is using homophones. It is using the vegetable beet instead of the word beat.
This poem is one of my favorites and I hope you liked it as much as me!
