Here is the last, but absolutly not least poem. This is the ballad. A ballad is not what you call, a "regular" poem. It ballad is more than a group of rhyming words and a rhythm. A ballad has to have the five story elements, plot, character, conflict, theme setting. A ballad is a narrative story turned into a poem. The reason a ballad is different from a story is because a story is broken out into pieces while a ballad flows through the story. It has a lot of imagery and figurative language to make the reader feel like they are actually at the scene.

This ballad is about when my grandpa was diagnosed with cancer and the whole process from Summer 2014 to present time. It has a very strong connection to me. I feel that this poem is very touching and it shows the whole journey my family and I have gone through. It was like a rollercoaster that we have just closed our eyes and survived the ride. But the ride barely over yet. We still got life to live and it isn't over.
